Our World Famous Restaurant has been serving homemade bread, soups, desserts and just about everything else to Glacier Park and Blackfeet Reservation visitors since 1950. We serve large, family style meals, mouth watering homemade soups, salads, and a variety of sandwiches served on our homemade bread. Although Johnson’s remains true to our Montana roots (mainly meat and potatoes) our unique menu provides something for everyone, including vegetarian options. Check out our menu!
We make all of our bread in-house, by hand daily, using the original recipe created by Lester R. Johnson almost a centrury ago. After the dough is hand kneaded, it is allowed to rise twice then we bake it to a golden brown. The entire bread making process takes over three hours. The smell of fresh bread is ever present as we make several batches a day. When the bread is removed from the oven it’s coated with a generous amount of butter. Nothing goes better with our handmade bread, than our homemade soup, you gotta try it.
We make delicious homemade desserts daily, the perfect way to top off any meal. Have you had a chance to sample a huckleberry dessert since you arrived in Glacier? Don’t worry we have you covered, try one of our tasty huckleberry creations!
